The charismatic 'New Age' guru Sir George Trevelyan was both a personal friend and a religious ally of Eve's. Throughout the 1950s, the Soil Association held its annual conference at Attingham Park adult educational college, near Shrewsbury, where Sir George Trevelyan was warden.

Women's Farm and Garden Association
Eve Balfour was a member of the Women's Farm and Garden Association. In addition to being a WFGA member, Eve was involved in the Women's Land Army during the Second World War. She received Land Army recruits at her farm in east Suffolk, teaching them specific agricultural skills in order to prepare them for their first WLA assignments.
